Keith MacMichael comes from a family filled with musical talent. His grandfather was a concert pianist and church organist. His father played both drums and guitar, and taught well into his eighties. With five drummers in his immediate family, it's easy to understand his love for music.

His recordings include Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville Cafe with Deanna Bogart, four CD's with Korean Christian producer Gee Kim, three CD's with Henry Mancini guitarist Royce Campbell, Rounder Records recording artist's Kathy Fink and Marcie Marxer, and the Barry Gurley Trio. He has performed on radio, television, and played on soundtracks for America's Most Wanted, TBS, National Geographic, and the Discovery Channel. He has worked locally with recording artists whose music ranges from jazz and funk to blues and country. Some of these area notables are: Barry Gurley, Marge Calhoun, Deanna Bogart, Al Williams, Tim Eyermann, Scott Ambush, Tommy Lepson, Rick Whitehead, Bruce Middle and Danny Gaton.
